The CLAT 2024 exam date for the 2024 session has been announced by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLU). The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for admission to UG and PG courses for the session 2024-25 is scheduled to be held on 3 December 2023. The online application process for the same has already started at consortium onlus.ac.in. The exam pattern of CLAT 2024 has been changed by the consortium. Earlier, 150 questions were asked in the objective test. The number of questions has been reduced to 120 to make it more student-friendly and the duration of the exam will be two hours. The last date to register for the law entrance exam for 2024 admission is 3 November 2023. Candidates willing to appear for this exam must be aware of all the important dates for CLAT 2024. It has been tabulated below for the convenience of the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2024
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the CLAT 2024 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The Consortium of NLUs has published the required eligibility criteria on its official website. You can apply for the entrance exam only if you fulfil these requirements.
The eligibility criteria are explained briefly in the following sections.
a. Nationality
- Indian citizens and NRIs who wish to take admission in UG and PG law programmes can apply for CLAT 2024.
- Foreign nationals can get admission in NLUs but they are not required to appear in CLAT exam. Their admission will be based on the procedure prescribed by the respective NLU.
b. Age limit
The exam conducting authority, Consortium of NLUs has not prescribed any upper age limit for the candidates appearing for the exam.
C. Educational Qualification for CLAT 2024
The eligibility for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is given in the following table:

CLAT 2024 Application Process
For your convenience, the steps to follow to apply for CLAT 2024 are mentioned below.
Step 1: Firstly, visit the official website of CLAT 2024 @consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2024 .
Step 2: You will see a login form on the top right side of the home page.
Step 3: Click “Register” to create a new account.
Step 4: Fill the pop-up form to register for CLAT 2024. You will need to enter your name, mobile number, and email ID and create a password for your account.
Step 5: You will receive an OTP to validate the registered mobile number. Activate your account using it, and log in to your account.
Step 6: Fill in your details carefully. Your name and parent’s name (as mentioned on your mark sheet/identity proof) must be filled correctly.
Step 7: Selection of UG/PG programmes and categories must be done with utmost care as changing them later will not be allowed.
Step 8: Candidates have to upload scanned copies of their recent passport size photograph and signature.
