A flagship initiative of Karnataka Government, Gruha Lakshmi Scheme aims to help the marginalized families of Karnataka with a basal allowance of ₹2000 per month as financial assistance by the State.
The assistance money will be provided to the head woman of the family to cater to the financial problems of poor families in the state. Eligible women will receive this financial help on a monthly basis and receive the money in hand to bear the expenses of the family. The scheme also provides an opportunity for better livelihood to housewives, landless women, and agriculture workers by providing them financial systems Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).The main objective of the scheme is to ensure gender equality and women empowerment in the state of Karnataka. A maximum of around 1.28 crore women will benefit from the scheme.

Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Eligibility Criteria
A candidate willing to apply for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme must meets the following eligibility criteria:
- Women in the families belonging to Below Poverty Line(BPL), Above Poverty Line(APL) and Other Marginalized Families of Karnataka will be eligible under the scheme
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka
- Women applying under the scheme must be the head of the family and must withhold a ration card to prove so.
- Only women of the family can avail the benefits of the scheme
- Only one woman from a single family can apply under the scheme
- Women who are not head of the family can change the ration card category to apply for the scheme
- Women Government employees are not eligible for any allowance under the scheme
- Women taxpayers are also not eligible for the benefits of the scheme
- A woman whose husband is income tax or files GST returns is not eligible for the benefits of the scheme

- Fill in the required details
- Upload the necessary documents

- Your application has been successfully submitted
- Take a printout of your application or note the application form number for future reference
Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Apply Offline
Eligible women also have an option of applying to avail the benefits of the scheme through offline mode. The procedure is listed below:
- Visit in offline designated center such as a Grama One Office, Karnataka One Office, Bapuji Seva Kendra, Bangalore One or Nada Kacheris to get an offline application form
- Take a printout of the Gruha Lakshmi application form
- Fill the details as instructed including your personal details, contact information, bank account details and other required details
- Attach the required documents as mentioned such as Aadhar Card, Ration card, and bank account details
- After completing the application and documentation process submit the application form at your nearest designated center
After the application process is complete, state officials will conduct a door to door registration process to record the beneficiary details. Later the list of beneficiaries will be displayed on the Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal.
