How to Apply for IBPS PO Recruitment 2024?

 

The IBPS PO application process usually takes place in online mode. There is no official announcement about the dates of the application process. As soon as the notification regarding the application process gets released, candidates can start applying for the role of probationary officers through the link provided on the official website of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria guidelines. If the candidates are eligible, they can start with the registration process.

The candidates are required to fill out the application form with the necessary information regarding their personal information, and academic qualifications. Along with this information the candidates are required to attach certain files, such as their signature and photograph, which should be scanned in the size mentioned, and a handwritten declaration is also to be submitted in the application process.

If the person is from Nepal or has migrated to India from other countries, they should be provided with a certificate of eligibility by the Indian government.

 

Educational Qualification: The candidates who wish to apply for the role of probationary officer are required to have a bachelor’s degree in any branch from a UGC-Authorized university. The certificates regarding their completion of the degree and mark sheet are required to be uploaded during the registration process.

 

Age Limit: The candidates should have a minimum age of 20 years and a maximum age of 30 years. There are certain age relaxations that are followed based on government norms. 

 

Computer Literacy and Language Proficiency: The candidates are required to have a decent knowledge of the computer system and should be proficient with the state’s official language. 

 

Selection Process for IBPS PO Recruitment 2024

 

The selection process for the role of PO is conducted in three phases, a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview. The detailed information about these phases is discussed below: 

 

Preliminary exam: The exam is conducted in online mode for 60 minutes. The questions will be from the English language test, arithmetic operations, and logical reasoning. 100 questions will be asked in total for 100 marks.  Each correct answer carries one mark, and each wrong answer carries -0.25 marks. 

 

Main exam: The candidates shortlisted from the preliminary exam advance to the main exam. Here the exam is for 225 marks, where 200 marks are related to aptitude and 25 marks are for English language essay writing. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. Questions will be based on the English language, logical reasoning, general knowledge, arithmetic operations, general economy, and banking awareness. Each correct answer carries one mark, and the wrong answer carries -0.25 marks. 

 

Interview: The final phase of the application process is an interview, which is face-to-face for 15-20 minutes. The questions regarding the candidate’s educational background and knowledge based on the field of banking are tested in the interview. 

 

The candidates who advance through all the stages of the selection process will be shortlisted and appointed as PO in any of the 11 banks.
