The advertisement for the appointment of Junior engineer recruitment was released on 7 March 2024. The forms are out and applicants can fill them till 28th June. Last date for the correction of any errors in the application form will be 5 July 2024. This form will be available on the website of UPSSSC Only those applicants will be able to fit the form who cleared the preliminary eligibility test in 2023 and meet the eligibility criteria of application.
UPSSSC JE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The eligibility criteria has been largely divided into two sections: educational qualification and age limit
- Educational qualification: anyone who is applying should have an intermediate certificate along with a 3-year diploma in civil engineering. A four year bachelor’s degree in civil engineering also qualifies from a known engineering university.
- Age Limit: For the government departments in Uttar Pradesh, age limit goes from 18 to 40 years old. Also, remember that different departments have different age requirements. For OBC applicants up to 3 years of age relaxation is available while applicants belonging from SC/ST communities can have up to 5 years of age relaxation.
It is also a requirement for all candidates to be of Indian nationality. All applicants and future candidates are advised to download the official notification posted by UPSSSC. The notification provides a deep explanation of the eligibility criteria.
APPLICATION FEE FOR UPSSSC JE
To submit an online application for UPSSSC JE, applicants need to pay a fee of ₹25. This fee is required for all departments under the Uttar Pradesh government. Candidates hailing from all kinds of backgrounds, such as general, SC, ST, OBC, EWS will have to pay the same amount of fee for filling the application form.

Steps to apply for the UPSSSC JE position
If you are someone who is looking to apply for the UPSSSC JE position, then go through the following steps.
- Firstly, you will have to search for the official website of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission.
- You will find an option that says ‘Recruitment’ on it. Click on that option and you will be taken to a new website.
- This website will have an ‘apply online’ option where you can fill in the form with all the required details.
- The firm may require a lot of documents such as Aadhaar card, school marksheet, college marksheet and more. Provide a scanned copy of all your documents and submit the application by paying the application fee.
UPSSSC JE Salary
The salary per month for the position of Junior Engineer can be anything from rupees 9300 to rupees 34800. Selected candidates may also receive a monthly pay grade of rupees 4200 along with additional incentives. This salary has been set in alignment with the 7th Pay Commission Scale. If you are able to clear all the stages of the selection process you will be provided with positions and salaries accordingly.
UPSSSC JE VACANCIES
UPSSSC has unveiled 4016 vacant seats. Out of these, 1522 are for General candidates, 315 are for EWS, 1362 are for OBC, 779 are for SC and 38 are for ST.
UPSSSC JE Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of UPSSSC JE is mentioned in the notification released by them on their official website. The first paper will be of 2 hours and with the below mentioned subjects. Total number of questions will be 175 while total marks will be 375. The second paper will be of the specific subject you are appearing for. It will have 125 questions and it will be for 375 marks. Duration of the exam will be 2 hours. It will be a written examination.
